The Jamboree is nearly here! We hope you're ready for some music, fun, and food!
Below, you'll find details for the Jamboree!
Schedule of Events:
3:00 doors open and DJ Brandon Mention will keep the party going until;
3:45 when Demi Mays takes the stage; and at
4:45 The Turkeys will rock the house until 6pm.
Activities:
- Children and families are invited to:
- Decorate a bookmark. To coincide with the bookmarks, we invite you to bring a book a gently used book to exchange at our "Take a Book, Leave a Book" table.
- Decorate a pumpkin
- Play in a pool of feed corn (trust us, it's amazing!)
- Work together on a collaborative art piece
- Snap a silly photo in the photo booth
- Make and enjoy an apple donut
- Get your child's portrait made by Silhouettes by Chris. (There are still sign-up's available!)
- Learn more about the Montessori Family Association (MFA) and complete the Scavenger Hunt to get a prize!
- In addition to all the indoor fun, the Community Center is surrounded by a park with a playground, walking trail, and fishing pond.
Potluck:
The potluck will be served in the small event room, immediately to the left upon entering the Community Center. You'll be able to pass your dish off to a volunteer and continue on into the main ballroom.
Then, you'll be able to serve yourself to enjoy the Italian feast in the main ballroom.
Parking Details:
The Southgate Community Center has two parking lots. One immediately next to the center and an overflow lot by the basketball courts. You are also able to park on the street, but please follow the street signs as parking is permitted only on one side of the street.

Silhouettes by Chris
Internationally known silhouette artist Chris Casey hand-cuts heirloom quality portraits using only surgical scissors and fine quality paper. Chris is offering silhouettes to our families at the Jamboree.
A portion of each purchase will be donated back to CRA.

Community Potluck
We extend a warm invitation to all our wonderful attendees to participate in our Italian Community Potluck. Share your culinary talents and bring a dish that showcases the flavors of Italy. Let's make this Potluck a gastronomic journey to remember!
